4th of July Recovery Smoothie
It was harder than I thought to make this layered red, white, and blue smoothie. haha. But, it was quite fun making a mess in the kitchen, I’m not gonna lie. It’s fun to be patriotic today, but I kind of like making pretty food all year round, so try this this week! I’d love to see your pretty photos. 🙂 Just tag me on Insta (@katiehartmorse).
4th of July Smoothie Recipe:
Blend each layer in your Vitamix or blender.
Layer 1 – 1 cup frozen blueberries and 1/4 cup almond milk
Layer 2 – 1 frozen banana, 1 scoop of vanilla designer protein, 1 cup almond milk
Layer 3 – 1 cup frozen strawberries, 1/4 cup almond milk
Pour each layer into your mason jar – make layer 1, pour in mason jar, clean out vitamix, make layer 2, pour on top of layer 1, clean out vitamix, make layer 3, pour on top of layer 2 – and add some unsweetened dried coconut on top. <3 It may have been a bit messy but it was delicious. Perfect way to recover after completing today’s booty call, Tone It Up Stars and Stripes workout, followed by an hour and a half bike ride.
I’ve finished up Week 7 of the Tone It Up Bikini Series, and have Week 8 this week, and then will hop in on round 2 with everyone! It’s really hard getting the emails of what everyone else is doing right now, and doing something different though, I’m not gonna lie. Part of me wants to just hop in with where everyone else is at right now, it makes it a bit more fun. Thoughts? Wanna join in the Bikini Series too? Join here.
