I swear I’m always searching for new cool apps, and I love when someone gives me a suggestion or recommendation, so I thought it would be fun to share my favorite apps of 2015. Favorite does not necessarily mean most used, because that would include some obvious ones (although I included Instagram here, but that’s because seriously it really is one of my favorite apps). But, to start putting Facebook, and all that jazz would defeat the purpose of sharing some of my faves that might be new and different to you all. 🙂
Instagram – social networking site that is all about photos and videos. I just love this app so much. I love that it’s still an app. I love how it has now allowed for landscape and portrait sizes instead of just square. I love that there is editing within the app, not just filters. And I love how it tells a story. We all know a picture tells 1000 words, and so I just love how it gives us just a glimpse into a brand or a person, it helps us connect just a little more.
Fitbit – If you don’t have a Fitbit, this app will serve no purpose, but I love the app because I can check in and see all of my stats for the day, week or month. I can see how I slept, how many calories I burned, etc. and see how all of my friends are doing.
Flightstats – Okay, whenever I’m traveling or have a friend that I’m picking up for the airport, I use this app. It tells me if my flight is delayed, on time, what gate I’m supposed to be at, etc. It’s seriously awesome. Highly recommend it.
PicTapGo – This is by far the best photo editing app out there right now. Why? Because it maintains the quality of the photo. I’ve tried lots of other photo editing apps, and always the quality of my photo was lost. This was recommended to me by a professional photographer, as well, so I took his word for it, and it turns out, he was right. 😉 (P.S prior I was a huge Camera+ fan, but no more, deleted the app, and now solely use this one)
Carrot – This is a hilarious and awesome weather app. It tells you what the weather is going to be like and will tell you how long it will be that way. I recently discovered this one with all of the rain we had been getting, and it was really really accurate, I’m not kidding. It would say “Will start to sprinkle in 25min” or “Rain will be stopping in 15min”. Pretty darn cool. And there are funny sayings that go along with the weather every day.
Misfit – This is a fitness tracking tool just like Fitbit (yes, I have them both, hands over eyes monkey emoji :P), and again, I love looking to see my daily stats. You can read about my review of it here.
Headspace – If you are into meditating or you want to get started, this app is awesome. It is guided meditation and it has seriously helped me reduce anxiety, stress, and just live an overall happier and healthier life.
Timehop – A social networking site that brings in all old data from all social media sights. I know Facebook has been doing the “this day in history” posts, but Timehop was doing it long before, and is still killing it because it brings in your iCloud photos and Instagram, etc.
Burst Mode – People always ask how I take photos of myself working out and it doesn’t look like a “selfie”. This is the app. If I don’t use my GoPro, and I’m using my phone, I use this app. It will take 100 photos within 10sec, and it takes high quality HD images, and there is a self timer. It is the ultimate “selfie” app for iPhone users who want to capture themselves without making it look like a “selfie”. Although, who doesn’t love an obvious selfie? ;P
Coat – This is another weather app, but it recommends what to wear that day based on your preferences and the weather. It’s by Glamour magazine, and it’s really new, so I know it will only get better, but so far I love it.
What are some of your favorite apps that you use?
