It’s interesting, I often get asked who I work for. Most people assume I work for Oakley, because I do a lot of social media posting, or attend events for them. So, I just wanted to take the time to address my role for all the different companies I’m involved with. 🙂
– The amazing company who employs me
– I work full time at The Active Network as the program manager for our wellness department. I help manage our client’s activity wellness programs. So, I do not work internally on our own wellness initiatives, but externally with our clients.
Here is our company story:
Super rad company to work for! In fact, it was my dream to work for them, when I moved out here a year and a half ago. 🙂
– I am in my 3rd year as an Oakley Women’s ambassador.
As an Ambassador, I share what I know about Oakley women’s product and technologies. I have the opportunity to sample their latest products as they come out, and to provide feedback to Oakley’s Research and Development team. It’s cool to know that they listen to my feedback, and to all of the different women that are Brand Ambassadors – we’re all different, and have different backgrounds, so it makes Oakley’s product offering more well rounded.
Oakley is a big brand, and they’ve got things happening across the US across all of the different sports that they touch – there’s always something going on! As an Ambassador, I have the opportunity to work with the internal Oakley team at some of these events, including various clinics they hold for women in different sports like snowboarding, skiing, and golf. It’s fun to meet other women in my local area through working with Oakley.
Two years ago, I didn’t know that Oakley offered everything for active women that they do – and that each piece, their sports bras, their pants, their shorts, their sunglasses – offer the level of performance that they do. I’ve always appreciated the brand, and known it stood for athleticism and performance, and now I am proud that I can align myself with it. I’m excited to spread the word to other women that there is another option out there in the marketplace that really PERFORMS when I need it to. Great fit, fights against sweat, looks good wear after wear – it’s made for women who are ready to sweat, and who want to push themselves – like me.
Oakley is currently running a live search for new additions to the Oakley Women’s ambassador family. Check out the opportunity to become an ambassador here.
I am very fortunate and thankful to align myself with the Oakley Women’s brand.
Becoming a brand ambassador for Oakley, has led to other brand ambassador/social media ventures with Soas Racing, Rehab United, and SKLZ. I love representing, and aligning myself with brands I believe in.
– Brand Ambassador and Team Member
– Success Project Ambassador
Currently SKLZ has a program they launched called, The Success Project. For every person who shares what success means to them at www.thesuccessproject.com, a dollar, gets donated to the Challenged Athlete’s Foundation. Share your story here! I am sharing mine weekly on their blog, here’s last week’s post. 🙂
Here’s a sample of some of the other fun things I get to partner up with SKLZ for:
They have the BEST athletic performance training equipment on the market.
The Regimen is an online fitness company, I started about 3yrs ago. It offers online fitness videos, so that people can work out anywhere, at any time. When I worked as a personal trainer, a lot of my clients, wanted me to make DVD’s, but those usually just collect dust. So, I decided to create a website instead, where there would be a library of videos for people to choose from, of different levels. It’s a great at-home, in your hotel room, etc. workout. You don’t need any equipment, yet all the workouts are designed to get you fit, tightened, and toned. Check it out for FREE, with our free membership. You can also earn points for working out, and redeem them for rewards!
So, if you see me posting on social media about different companies, or programs, or products, etc. These are truly brands I believe in. And although my job at Active does not include a lot of social media, it is still a company I truly love. They are literally, the company that took mail-in paper registration, and brought it online, to make it easier for all of us to participate in the activities that we love, want, and need to do. 🙂
